What Happens During a Headshot Appointment?
Headshots are done in our Upper West Side studio. The goal is to make you feel comfortable and create an engaging headshot that shows your personality. Our sessions start with a quick review of what type of headshots you are looking for and you should plan to be in the studio for about an hour. We then head into the studio for about 20-30 minutes of photos. We will shoot on several different colored backgrounds and do several different poses. After we are done in the studio, we take about 10-20 minutes to edit down your photos. Then, you sit with an experienced staff member to view your photos and make your selection. It will then take 2-3 days for you to receive your finalized images.

There is NO FEE to take the headshots. That means no upfront cost to you. If you do not like your images, you are not obligated to make a purchase. Headshot packages start at $150 for digital images. A limited copyright release is included.

Where Are We Located?

By subway take the 1/2/3 to 72nd Street and walk east 1/2 a block toward Columbus Avenue. Or take the B or C local to 72nd Street and walk west toward Broadway. Big Apple Portraits is on the north side of the street midway between Columbus and Amsterdam.
Parking on 72nd is metered and relatively easy. Meter stations are available throughout the block. The nearest parking garage is located on 72nd near Central Park West. There are many garage options available in the neighborhood.
